UTV-17A FUEL FILLER NECK:
Fuel filler must be located as far away from the exhaust and engine as possible. The minimum distance is 12” forward of the exhaust, if the filler is on the same side as the exhaust. Fuel filler must be completely surrounded by sheet metal or aluminum. Splash guards between the engine and or exhaust are highly recommended. If the filler neck is mounted near the driver or navigator, a splash guard is required to prevent fuel from splashing on the driver or navigator.
