Hi all!

My friends and I are building a side by side to run at the Rallye des Gazelles in Morocco. In our project, we will make the frame, suspension, transmission system, etc.

The thing is we are making a 2x4 (rear wheel drive) , for several reasons, but the problem is we dont know the best weigth ratio on the front/rear wheels. This information could not be found in any books. Actually, the engine and transmission systems will be located at the back of the vehicle, near the propulsive wheels. From now, we suppose a ratio of 70/30 , 30% of the total weigth on the front wheel for the steering system, but we would like to know some advices from experimented offroad driver.

I invite you to go check our website on www.projetsirocco.com for more details, just click on english on the top right corner of the page.

Thx alot for your tips.

Samyboy

Ps: Sorry for grammatical mistakes, i am a french guy.
