Cory Sappington of Desert Toyz in Arizona decided to take his Yamaha Rhino and turn it into ground breaking history! He quickly prepped his Yamaha Rhino and he entered his first race, the Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno Race in Nevada in 2005.
Following this the UTV Racing Association was started in the fall of that year for the extreme racing enthusiasts out there looking to try something new and experience the joy of research, testing, and competitive racing using the ever popular Utility Terrain Vehicles on the market today.
The UTV Racing Association is now an official corporation and is changing everyday. Onward and upward at extreme paces is how we are taking everything here at the UTVRA. We look forward to sharing a part of history in the making with you as fellow racers and enthusiasts!
Today Eric Cowan, an experienced ATV/offroad enthusiast is serving as Assistant Manager, website is managed by AAAExtreme.com along with the help of Kevin Hodge, and Tim Orchard from OMF is a Co-Founder of the UTVRA. Cory Sappington is our class rep for BITD, SCORE, Speedworld UTV Cross, and Whiplash Racing. Being a participant himself, Cory can answer any technical building and racing questions. We also have many other supporting companies and friends coming together to develop a safe and fun experience for all!
